Excited that along with the usual Show and Tell and Workshops there will also be two BYOB activities. (Bring Your Own Bot)

Come and test your bot in our minimal maze and the line following courses.

There will also be the usual two workshops with the specifics still to be finalised so watch this space.


The minimal maze is idea for testing your driving skills or even your programming skills to see if you can solve the maze using only your code and sensors on your bot.
Can you get from the start to the finish without any manual intervention.

There are two line following course.
One is simpler than the other. So, bring your bots along and test them out.  See if you can solve both.

Line following courses

Maybe bring a computer along to do some programming on the day to refine your bots ability to solve the maze and the line following tracks.
It's a great way to test your bots and see how they perform.

Save the date 26th January 2020 is the next Egham Raspberry Jam.

The maze will be set up so you can test your driving skills.

Also, there will be 2 workshops using a new piece of hardware.

Now it's been mastered we can finalise the details for the workshops and prepare the worksheets.

With the old venue no longer available for the Egham Raspberry Jam we are moving to a new venue.

This will be our home for at least the next two years.
The venue has a great area for the show and tell as well as a room for workshops and talks.

22nd Egham Raspberry Jam - 14th July 2019

At the last Jam we ran two python programming workshops
We are finalising the workshops for the 22nd Jam, but they will be camera related.

Also, at the last Jam we had the first appearance of the new Egham Jam Maze.
It's based on the PiWars maze but modular so can be reconfigured.  Below is a short video of a self-balancing robot navigating the maze.

The maze will be coming back so if you are into building either remote control or autonomous bots this is your chance to test out your skills on out minimal maze.

19th Egham Raspberry Jam - 15th July

Yes, I missed posting one on the site.

The 17th and 18th Egham Raspberry Jam were great.  for the 18th 100 out of a possible 100 tickets were registered.
We ran 2 workshops around using the SenseHat with Scratch and Python

Announcing 16th Egham Raspberry Jam

Well, that came around quickly.  It's been about 2 months since the last Egham Raspberry Jam and we are already getting ready for the next one on the 15th of October.

With Halloween 2 weeks later this is the perfect time to get your spook on and build something awesome surprise the neighbours

Maybe you want to go a bit bigger and do the whole house.

NOTE: Gartner recently opened a new office building.  It's the big one next to the M25.
We're not in this office. We are still in the one next door.
So, for those who've been to the Egham Jam before the venue is the same. For those who haven't it's the one next door the really big building next to the M25.    I promise this will be enough detail to find the right building.
